Chris Graham | PT, MPT, OCS
Chris is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and has been a physical therapist since 1999. He co-founded SMI-LA, a physical therapist owned and operated practice, in 2001. Chris is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the following specialty sections of the APTA: Orthopedics, Sports Physical Therapy, and Private Practice. He received his Master of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University and his BA in history from Georgetown University. He played lacrosse at Georgetown and remains active with many outdoor activities including backpacking, hiking, running and cycling. Chris successfully completed not one, but two Tough Mudder events in 2011.
Marta Katz | PT, MSPT
Marta has been a physical therapist since 1996 in the outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine setting and has been an integral part of SMI-LA since 2002. She received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida and her BS in biology from American University in Washington DC. Marta is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. She enjoys running, yoga and spending time at the beach with her family.
Laurel Hagy | PT, MSPT
Laurel graduated from Widener University in 2001 with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree. Since then she has since been practicing in outpatient orthopedics and has been a terrific asset to the SMI-LA team since 2004. She completed a long-term manual therapy course in 2003 and excels with rehabilitation of sports injuries of the knee, shoulder and spine.
Michelle Cissell | PT, DPT
Michelle has been a physical therapist since 2007 when she earned her DPT from Wayne State in Detroit. She received her Bachelor of Health Sciences in 2004 from Grand Valley State University. Michelle has been an exceptional addition to the SMI-LA team since 2008. She completed a year-long course in orthopedic manual therapy in 2011 and focuses on rehabilitation of sports injuries of the shoulder, knee and ankle. Michelle enjoys hiking, beach volleyball, and doing anything active outdoors.
Cindy Graham | PT, MPT, OCS
Cindy is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and has been a physical therapist since 1999. She has worked in the outpatient orthopedic setting since receiving her Master of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University, and she joined the SMI-LA team in 2010. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Section on Womens Health. In addition to treating patients with all orthopedic diagnoses, Cindy has had extensive training to treat patients with pelvic floor dysfunction. She enjoys yoga and running and hiking with her dogs. Cindy is proud to have successfully completed one Tough Mudder event in 2011.
Douglas Hagy| PT, MPT, CSCS
Doug has been a physical therapist since 2002 when he graduated from Neumann College in Pennsylvania with a Master of Physical Therapy degree. He began his career in the field of physical therapy much earlier, however, working as an aide for an outpatient PT clinic in Pennsylvania at age 19. He received his degree in Allied Health Sciences/Exercise Physiology from Bloomsburg University in 1994, and shortly thereafter became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Doug joined SMI-LA in 2011 with advanced training in shoulder and upper extremity injury rehabilitation. He enjoys playing his collection of guitars and keeping fit with weight training and riding his bicycles and motorcycles.
