Meet the SMI of Orange Staff

Amy Biersch PT, DPT, CSCS

Amy graduated from University of the Pacific with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2005 and has been working at SMI since. Prior to that, she received her BS in Exercise Physiology at CSU, Chico and played first base on the softball team for four years. Amy is a member of the both APTA and NSCA. She is also currently designing an ACL prevention program for the female athlete that we will be implementing shortly. In her free time, Amy enjoys watching baseball games and beating her co-workers in tennis.

Nicholas Sekiya, DPT

Nick is the newest member of Sports Medicine Institute team. He graduated from the University of the Pacific in '04 with a BA in Sports Medicine and in '06 with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During college, he played outfield for the University of the Pacific baseball team. Nick is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and was born and raised in Hawaii.
